Fostering For HOPE

How do I get involved?  Simply fill out the foster application and someone will contact you once it's received to answer any further questions and explain the program.

Can I choose my foster pet?  Absolutely! We want you to have a pet that is a great fit for your home. You can choose a big dog, little dog or cat. Puppies or kittens.

What do I have to pay for?  HOPE covers all vet bills. Most of our fosters supply basic necessities for their foster dogs and cats.

How long will my foster pet stay with me?  It all depends. Sometimes it's only for a few days and other times it could be a few months.

What are my responsibilities as a foster?  We ask that you work on simple commands with your foster pet and evaluate them on any forms of aggression (food, toys, other pets, children.)

Will also ask that you are available to answer question and set up visits with any potential adopters. Once a month we hold adoption events at Pet Friendly on Manitou Rd. in Hilton and you may be asked to bring your foster on certain events for 2 hours. Most importantly, we ask that you just show your foster love, patience and understanding.

If you do decide to foster, we will give you an information packet and always be available to answer any questions.
